Play Area Public Consultation

Friday 23 May 2014, 3.30 - 5pm

Cornhill Drive

On Friday 23 May we are holding a public consultation about a play area design proposed for the green area at Cornhill Drive. The proposed design will be sketched out using temporary materials and the Future Perfect team will be on hand to answer questions and gather local comments.

This is one of a series of five natural play spaces which will be installed across Hengrove Ward this summer, intended to have minimum impact on their surroundings whilst encouraging children to interact with the space. The play area designs have been developed by artist Nils Norman alongside the student design teams at Bridge Farm, Perry Court and Oasis New Oak Primary Schools as part of his Green Spaces Commission.

Each of the three schools will have a new play area installed as well as two public play areas at Cornhill Drive and Hengrove Farm Park. You can see the designs on our Archive of Ideas display at Whitchurch Library and if you cannot attend the consultation event, but would like to let us know your comments, please email by Friday 6 June.

Future Perfect is commissioned by Bristol City Council and is the first public art programme to be funded through a Neighbourhood Partnership in which governance is extended to members of the Hengrove community. Contact   Legal
